Jason Hamilton has over 20 years’ experience gained as a financial professional active in the banking and financial services sectors, also consulting to various businesses on strategy, strategic aligned and governance.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Management Accounting (University of Stellenbosch) and is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant and a Certified Global Management Accountant. He has also completed executive development programmes at Saïd Business School, Oxford University covering the subject areas of Private Equity; Private Market Investments & Venture Finance, in addition to completing the Advanced Valuation Programme at Stern School of Business, New York University.
Jason has volunteered in the profession since the early 2000’s and have held various leadership positions including serving as Chair of the CIMA Africa Network Committee and being a nominated member of Association of Certified Professional Accountants Thought Leadership and Business Ethics committee. He also serves as Independent Trustee on two community trusts and serves as Non-Executive Director on two investment holding companies with investments in the renewable energy sector.
He is actively involved in executive education, serving as head tutor on the Oxford Strategic Alignment/ Organisational Effectiveness Programme and the Oxford Executive Finance Programme, Said Business School, University of Oxford. He is adjunct faculty at USB Executive Development and a guest lecturer on the University of Stellenbosch Business School (“USB”) MBA programme delivering sessions on finance, development finance, mergers & acquisitions, strategic management, and corporate governance
Jason has maintained a close relationship to the private markets, finance and venture capital ecosystems and is often quoted in the media, in addition he serves as mentor to early-stage ventures through his involvement with The Oxford Entrepreneurs Network, Santander X Global Awards and the Oxford Entrepreneurship Centres Liber Project 2021.
