Scheduled Webcast (Group Internet Based) Cancellation
BLI reserves the right to cancel a scheduled program. In case of a cancellation, you will be notified and will be able to receive a full refund or to transfer the full value to another program.

Cancellation/Refund Policy for Webcasts (Group Internet Based)
If you are unable to attend a webcast. please notify us as soon as possible. You may:

  1. Transfer the full value to another course.
  2. Receive a full refund for cancellations more than 5 days from date of program.
  3. No shows for webcasts are not eligible for transfers or refunds.

Refund Policy Self-Study and Nano Learning Programs
If you are not completely satisfied with our online self-study or nano learning products you may request a full refund within 3 days of starting a program that you have not received CPE credit for. The program will be removed from your account. If you have taken a course(s) that is part of a bundle and received CPE credit, the refund will not include the retail value of the course(s) taken. To receive a refund please call our office at (888) 481-3500.

CPE Credit Guarantee
BLI will clearly note the amount of recommended CPE credit for each course. If your credit has been denied by a State Board of Accountancy, unless the recommended CPE credit is noted as 0 credits, we will give you the option to enroll in another course of equal value at no charge or to receive a refund of your registration fee.

Content Development
BLI programs are developed by individuals or teams having expertise in the subject matter. Expertise is demonstrated through practical experience and/or education. Courses are revised as soon as feasible following changes to relative codes, laws, rulings, decisions, interpretations, etc.

For technical programs: the participation of at least one licensed CPA (in good standing and holding an active license or the equivalent of an “active” license in a U.S. jurisdiction) is required in the development of every program in accounting and auditing. The participation of at least one licensed CPA, tax attorney, or IRS enrolled agent (in good standing and holding an active license or the equivalent of an “active” license in a U.S. jurisdiction) is required in the development of each program in taxes. In the case of the subject matter of international taxes, the participation of the equivalent of an “active” licensed CPA for the international jurisdiction involved is permitted.

Course Content Review Policy
BLI authored programs are reviewed by qualified persons independent of those who developed the programs. These reviews take place before the first presentation of the materials and again after each significant revision of the program.

Courses are reviewed following changes to relative codes, laws, rulings, decisions, interpretations, etc. Courses in subjects that undergo frequent changes are reviewed by an individual qualified in the subject matter at least once a year. Other courses, i.e. non-technical “soft skills”, are reviewed at least every two years.

When it is impractical to review certain programs in advance, such as lectures given only once, greater reliance is placed on the recognized professional competence of the instructors or presenters. BLI uses independent reviewing organizations familiar with NASBA Standards.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes
Programs are be based on relevant and measurable learning objectives and outcomes that clearly articulate the professional competence that should be achieved by the participants upon completion of the program.

Program Content and Knowledge Level
The knowledge level of BLI programs are specified so that participants can determine if the program is appropriate for their development needs. Program knowledge levels consist of: basic, intermediate, advanced, overview and update. All programs identified as intermediate, advanced or update will clearly identify prerequisite education, experience and/or advanced preparation. For courses with a program knowledge level of basic or overview, prerequisite education or experience and advance preparation will be noted, if any, otherwise, “none” will be noted in the course announcement or descriptive materials.
