Bob Dean has served in learning and development leadership roles for several global professional services firms, including EY, Grant Thornton and Heidrick & Struggles during his business career of 30+ years. Bob has designed, developed and facilitated hundreds of interactive virtual learning experiences, using a variety of technology platforms. Through Bob’s current company, Dean Learning & Talent Advisors LLC, he serves as a consultant to client organizations focusing on learning, talent management and business innovation and process improvement.
Bob earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration at the University of Missouri. In 2006, Bob became one of the first ten people in the world to be certified in the models and frameworks of the classic business book, The Experience Economy, by B. Joseph Pine II and James H. Gilmore. This certification led him to create the Progression of Learning Value (POLV) framework. The POLV reflects Bob’s point of view on how to drive impact from learning and development in the 21st century.
Bob is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. He is a licensed, non-practicing CPA in Oklahoma, where he started his career as an audit professional in a Big 8 accounting firm. He is also a certified ThinkTank facilitator, using the software tool for virtual collaboration and virtual learning. He serves on the Advisory Board for the Northern Illinois University Experiential Learning Center.
