Jennifer Elder, CPA, CMA, CIA, CFF, CGMA
Jennifer is an executive coach who helps smart professionals transform from technically talented to strategically savvy. Jennifer started her career in public accounting at a regional firm. She chaired the accounting department at a New Hampshire college and spent 15 years as a CFO in a variety of industries including homebuilding, technology, and insurance.
In 2022, Jennifer received the Women Who Count award in education by the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA). In 2018, Jennifer earned the designation of Certified Speaking Professional (CSP). Making her one of only 15 people worldwide who hold both the CPA and CSP designations. CPA Practice Advisor named Jennifer one of the Top 25 Women in Accounting in 2018.
Jennifer received her BA from the University of Massachusetts and an MS in Organizational Management from Antioch University New England. She has been published by the Journal of Accountancy, FM Magazine, the National Association of Home Builders, Triple Pundit, and the Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance.
She currently volunteers on the boards of several organizations including the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy, the Northeast Regional Council of the IMA, and Jennifer chairs the CSP Committee of the National Speakers Association.
Sean Stein Smith, DBA, CPA, CGMA
Sean Stein Smith is an assistant professor at Lehman College (CUNY), a member of the AICPA Leadership Academy class of 2017, was named a 40 under 40 by CPA Practice Advisor in 2017 and 2018, and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance. Sean regularly appears as an expert contributor on blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and other emerging technologies for China Global TV’s live business programming. He is a regular contributor to the official IBM Blockchain site – Blockchain Unleashed, where his research and analysis covers both blockchain applications for accounting and for business at large. Sean has led and presented numerous presentations on blockchain, as well as other emerging technologies, and the applications these technologies will have on the profession. His work and analysis of accounting, blockchain, emerging technologies, and the evolution of the accounting profession has been featured in dozens practitioner and academic publications, and numerous presentations Additionally, he is the author of numerous books focusing on accounting, technology, and how the profession will change moving forward.
