A CIMA-qualified Management Accountant with more than 20 years’ experience across finance, financial modelling, planning technology, product leadership, and entrepreneurship, Simon brings a rare combination of deep finance expertise and hands-on software innovation. His career began in finance, where he developed strong foundations in analysis, modelling, reporting, and business decision support. He later moved into enterprise planning technology, including senior roles at Anaplan during its hypergrowth journey, where he worked closely with finance teams and large organisations using planning technology to transform performance.
Simon founded Blox after seeing a consistent challenge across startups, scale-ups, and growing businesses: finance teams and founders need flexible, forward-looking planning, but traditional spreadsheets and legacy FP&A tools often make planning slow, rigid, complex, and difficult to scale. Blox was created to solve that problem by making financial planning, reporting, modelling, scenario analysis, and decision support simpler, faster, and more accessible.
