Simon Cavadias is a Senior Manager in the Association (CIMA & AICPA), he is responsible for Business Resilience (BR) and Continuous Service Improvement (CSI). Simon describes BR as a proactive business continuity (BC) strategy and regards CSI as a business process improvement that places business outcomes at the center of the approach.
Simon started his career as an Industrial Chemist, obtaining his degree from the Open University. Working across different manufacturing industries for 18 years, prior to moving to the educational sector, which laid strong foundations for his career as a Quality Management Specialist. He is certified in a variety of quality, business improvement, and change management disciplines and is an experience ISO auditor.
Since working at the Association, he has consulted on a wide range of projects, working with stakeholders on an internal and external basis. This includes the development of PAS1919, the BSI standard based on the Global Management Accountancy Principles (GMAP), and represented CIMA on the African Academy of Sciences committee that developed and published the Good Financial Grant Practice (GFGP) standard that major donors expect and look for when allocating funding.
