Matt Ryan, CPA, MBA

Matt serves as the CFO of an educational institute based in Washington, D.C. and as the CFO of a tech startup specializing in dynamic pricing and big data analytics. He has prior experience as President of a management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and economic forecasts, with additional experience in risk analysis and operations management.

Outside of his consulting work, Matt is a Captain (promotable) in the U.S. Army Reserves with more than 15 years of service in the military. He recently completed an extended tour as the Company Commander for a logistics/distribution unit based in Central Pennsylvania. In 2009, Matt deployed to Iraq where he served dual roles as the Executive Officer of a medical company and as the Brigade Medical Logistics Officer for the 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team.

Matt serves on the Board of Directors of a Philadelphia-based military service organization and previously served as the Audit Committee Chairman of a Washington, D.C.-based institute. In addition, he serves as the Chairman of the Professional Ethics Committee for the Maryland Association of CPAs.

Matt holds a B.S. in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Pennsylvania & Virginia), and has a Master’s Certificate in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt through Villanova University.
