Mary Miller, JD, PCC, SPHR,

Mary Miller has been doing consulting and coaching work for more than 10 years in her own business. She brings unique perspectives to her clients based on her past experiences, including her work as an attorney and a human resources executive. Mary quickly identifies and develops the transformative potential within clients and organizations. She wants her clients to explore all the possibilities open to them. Mary provides a range of services customized to clients’ needs. Her consulting work includes strategic human resources advice, organizational culture and development, and HR policies and handbooks. She also provides professional coaching for executives, leaders, and high potentials in organizations. She uses assessments such as the 360, DiSC™, StrengthsFinder, and the Predictive Index® to support successful outcomes for clients. She also facilitates training workshops and team/group events.

Mary has broad industry experience. She has worked with wholesalers, retailers, government, and nonprofits, plus engineers, attorneys, and other professionals. Organizations at all stages from start-up to mature/exit and ranging from small to multi-site/-state/-country operations have benefited from her expertise. Mary particularly enjoys helping progressive organizations be more effective through development of their leaders and managers. Her clients include the National Science Foundation, Federal Reserve Bank of the United States, U.S. Army, U.S. Customs & Border Protection, Peabody Institute, Acorn Media Group, International Council on Clean Transportation, Center on Education for Public Health, GWWO Architects, James Posey Associates, Silberstein Insurance Group, and Zarren Law Group.

Mary received her J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and her B.S. in Psychobiology from UCLA. She holds a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation, a designation that requires 125 hours of approved training in coaching methods and over 500 paid coaching hours. Mary maintains two HR credentials and has been certified as a human resources senior professional since 2004. Her contributions to professionalism in HR include an appointed 3-year term on the SHRM special expertise panel on ethics plus frequent requests by SHRM for her assistance in developing HR credentialing test materials.
