Kelli Gillis is a Partner in Frazier & Deeter’s Advisory Services Practice, specializing in internal controls, compliance, risk mitigation and process improvement. She also serves as a signing engagement partner for the firm’s System and Organization Controls (SOC) examinations. Kelli is highly skilled in external audits, firm and practice-level systems of quality control, internal audit outsourcing and co-sourcing, in addition to SOX assessment and testing. She works with various industries, including technology, media & entertainment, manufacturing & distribution and transportation & logistics.
Kelli offers her clients more than 17 years of financial and IT audit experience, including extensive expertise with PCAOB standards and SEC requirements. She previously served as a National Assurance Director with a focus on audit quality at BDO, where she helped lead internal inspections, external inspection support, coaching of in-flight audit engagements, and redesigning and leading multiple audit compliance programs including engagement remediation and archiving. She was also an Inspections Specialist with the PCAOB where she performed domestic and international inspection for a Big 4 firm and was highly involved in developing and facilitating inspection training. Kelli began her career at Deloitte in Atlanta, where she provided audit services to both public and non-public companies in various industries.
She has also led FD’s Advisory Practice Learning & Development program for the past three years. Throughout her career, Kelli has always sought opportunities to be a strong contributor to the development of her colleagues and clients, since excellent financial reporting and internal controls as well as audits of this critical information requires a depth of technical knowledge as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
Kelli is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Georgia Society of CPAs, and Institute of Internal Auditors. She is in the 2024-2025 class of Leadership North Fulton and serves on the Alumni Council of her alma mater, Berry College, where she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Accounting.
Kelli and her husband David live in Alpharetta, GA on the north side of Atlanta with their two daughters.
