John Sanchez is Managing Director of the training and FP&A consultancy FPA Group, LLC. He has more than 20 years’ experience that started at the top ten accounting firm, progressed to mergers and acquisitions work for Fortune 500 companies, and culminated in significant roles in the world-class business organizations including Royal Caribbean Cruises and AutoNation.
Since transitioning in the development and delivery of training courses for accounting and finance professionals, John has established a clientele including solo start-ups and multi-billion dollar conglomerates in an eclectic array of industries. John has experience delivering courses using a variety of formats and platforms including webinars, recorded online self-study courses and live face-to-face delivery.
John’s specialty topics are focused on the “soft skills” outlined as “lifelong learning” objectives in the AICPA’s CPA Horizons 2025 Report, which have been referred to as bigger success factors than technical skills, but are typically underrepresented in CPE curriculums. John holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and has served as a member of the board of directors for several organizations.
