Get a review of the basics of fraud, including understanding its legal definition and an overview of different fraud schemes. Participants will learn how the leading fraud theories have changed over time, the characteristics of a fraudster and how various frauds are committed. Emphasis will be placed on practical tips for preventing and detecting fraud that organizations should implement immediately. This course explores ethical decision-making with an emphasis on fraud using findings from the fields of criminology/sociology, cognitive psychology, and clinical psychology.
