Step Into Leadership: Navigating the Transition from Staff to Leader

Becoming a leader means using your skills, strengths and expertise in service of others toward a shared mission, goal or outcome. This requires leaders to deeply understand who they are, how they can contribute, and what strengths and skills they can use to drive maximum impact. And while individual effort and impact matters, leading people also means recognizing your role is changing, and that you need to develop a new mindset and skill set so you can achieve what’s best for others.

This session focuses on helping those individuals who are making the move to a people manager or leadership position develop the self-awareness they need so that they can take actions that align with their own goals and aspirations they see for themselves as leaders. Participants will learn about key practices they can use to understand their aspirations, skills, personal brand, and relationships, and then identify actions they can take to ensure that they are leading effectively and stepping into leadership to become the leader they aspire to be.
