Responsible AI: Ethics, Governance & Accountability

Although most organizations now use some form of AI in the workplace, very few appreciate the governance and regulatory responsibilities that this technology incurs. This course explores the ethical dilemmas posed by the increasing prevalence of AI in the workplace, and recommends governance principles to regulate the use of AI.

  • Apply ethical principles to AI, using ethical frameworks to navigate and address the dilemmas emerging from AI’s use in various professional settings.
  • Evaluate the role of government in regulating, containing and controlling AI.
  • Analyze the role of accountants in AI governance, considering how they can guide the ethical use and oversight of algorithms.
  • Assess practical guidelines for AI regulation, including ten practical steps to help businesses and individuals responsibly implement and monitor AI tools.
